We create highly-detailed models of every custom ring we make, and we’ll only move your project into the production phase once you’ve given your complete approval to those models.
Flush Set Diamond
A single baguette diamond is flush set at the top of this ring. It’s 0.16 carats, and it’s oriented lengthwise across the band, covering the flat top surface nearly from one edge to the other. The use of the flush setting for the diamond keeps the profile of the ring low, and it also allows the sparkle of the stone to shine through without dominating the design.
Contrasting Finishes
The main surface of the ring is flat, and it features a brushed finish that produces a silky matte effect. On either side of this, the edges are beveled, angling down towards the finger, and these are polished to a high shine. The contrast between the two sections helps to highlight their separation, and it also complements the sparkle of the diamond nicely. Men’s Custom Wedding Bands
Customization Options
If you’re interested in customizing this ring, there are quite a few options to consider. For instance, you may want to push the design in a more classical direction by switching to the warmer tones of rose or yellow gold. Or you could adjust the width of the band to one more comfortable for you. This ring is 6mm wide, which is on the narrow end for a men’s wedding band. Trying on some rings of varying widths is the best way to figure out what you prefer in this regard.
You could also use a different type or cut of gemstone at the top of the ring, and you could experiment with different finish combinations as well. One option, of course, would be to stick with a single finish on all surfaces, whether that’s polished or brushed. Sandblasted is another matte option we offer as well, and you can combine any of these three with a hammered texture to get an even more unique look.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
