Description
This striking men’s wedding band features a mokume gane design, accented with three flush set diamonds. The ring was custom designed for a client, who drew elements from two other of our ring designs to create a unique piece. While he preferred the makeup and pattern of ring #101165, he also liked the way the diamonds were incorporated into the design of ring #101248, and we combined them to create a piece fully in line with his vision.

Mokume Gane
The mokume gane pattern in this ring is made with a combination of 14k rose gold, palladium, and sterling silver. The technique for creating mokume game jewelry actually originated in Japan as a way to make decorative handles and sheathes for samurai swords. It involves layering several different types of metal together and then forging them to create the beautiful organic patterns you see in this ring.
Due to the nature of the forging process, no two mokume gane patterns will ever come out exactly the same, and so including it in your ring ensures it is a truly unique piece. However, if you see a pattern or design that you like, we can generally expect a 70% to 80% match when we create a new item forged in the same manner and from the same materials. Diamond Accents
While the mokume band is lovely on its own, this piece adds just a bit of sparkle with three princess cut diamonds flush set in a diagonal pattern across the top. These contrast nicely with the ring’s sandblasted finish, which helps the diamonds really stand out.
Band Sizes and Styles
Men’s wedding rings offer several options when it comes to band widths and styles. For instance, this ring is an 8mm width, and it features a flat band. If this feels a little too wide for you, though, you can opt for a 6mm width, which is another popular option. And you can choose to go with a rounded band if you like that look better.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
