Mokume Inlay
The technique used to create the lovely mokume gane inlay in this ring was developed several hundred years ago in Japan. It involves layering different types of metal together, and then forging them in such a way that they combine to create these types of patterns reminiscent of wood grain.
The mokume in this ring is composed of 14k rose gold, palladium, and sterling silver, and it has a matte oxidized silver finish which is what gives the silver areas their dark color. Diamond Accents
