Men's Mokume Wedding Band
Item #1465Men's Wedding Band Description
Whether you’d like to visit our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to view some sample pieces and discuss your ideas, or you prefer to communicate with our team online, we have the technological tools and industry experience to help you create the ring of your dreams. Once we know a bit about the types of features you’d like to incorporate into your design, we’ll develop a unique CAD model of the piece we propose to make, and you can request any modifications you’d like until you’re sure it’s perfect.
Band Design
This band is 8mm wide and slightly domed, with a gently rounded interior as well, which creates a comfort fit. The body of the band is made from palladium, and the mokume gane section runs down the middle, occupying roughly one third of the ring’s top surface area. The entire ring is polished to a high shine, and this helps bring out many of the excellent qualities of all of the metals used.
Mokume Gane Inlay
The mokume gane in this ring is made from a combination of rose gold and sterling silver. To create the beautiful organic patterns you see in this ring, thin sheets of the two metals were layered together and then forged in a particular way. This technique is known as mokume gane, and it was developed in Japan several centuries ago. Mokume Rings
No two pieces of mokume will ever share exactly the same pattern, and so including it in your ring helps ensure it’s truly one-of-a-kind. However, if you see a design that you like, we can use the same technique on your piece, and you can expect to see about an 80% pattern match in the finished product.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
