Band Design
The band of this ring is 7mm wide and made of 14k white gold. It’s flat on top, with beveled edges that angle downward towards the finger on either margin. In the center of the band, a narrow groove, about the same width as those beveled edges, splits the ring into two equal halves.
That feature is highlighted by the presence of a 14k yellow gold inlay that fills the bottom of the groove and continues all the way around the ring. The contrast between the warm tones of the yellow gold and the sleek silver color of the rest of the ring helps to add a dynamic flair to the piece, and it also brings a more contemporary feel to the ring as a whole. Contrasting Finishes and Customization Options
In order to highlight the subtle details of the ring design further, we utilized a combination of finishes on different areas of the piece. For instance, the raised sections on either side of the center groove are brushed, creating a slightly darker look for the white gold with richer silver tones coming through. The yellow gold inlay, as well as the beveled edges of the band, are polished to a high shine, creating a nice contrast as well as a subtle connection between the edges and the center. Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
