Our team is always available through the Ring Builder feature on our website or in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom to discuss your ideas and show you some sample pieces. Once we know what type of ring you’re looking for, we’ll create a CAD model for you to evaluate, and we’ll adjust it as many times as you’d like until you’re sure it’s perfect.
Hand Engraving and Milgrain
The center section of this ring is filled with a lovely hand-engraved pattern inspired by leaves and flowers. It flows smoothly all the way around the band, and it’s raised slightly above the polished rails that run along either side, creating a clear separation between these two design elements.
Framing the hand engraving are rows of milgrain beading, which run along either side of it and help to give it a nice, finished look. The milgrain also adds some vintage flair to this overwhelmingly classical design, a feeling that’s only enhanced by the use of 18k yellow gold for the piece. Men’s Custom Wedding Bands
Metal and Customization Options
One quick way to customize this piece is to switch to rose or white gold. Alternately, you could introduce a brushed or sandblasted finish on either the center section, rails, or both to add some contrast and texture. You could also remove the milgrain to give the piece a more contemporary feel.
Customizing the hand engraving is another good way to work in a special personal detail. If your partner’s rings have engraving on them, using a variation on that pattern is a good way to create a special link between all of the rings in the set. Because our master engraver completes this detail work by hand, we can customize it to include a pattern or symbol with special meaning for you, and we can show you some examples of what’s possible if you’re not exactly sure what you’d like.

Customize
Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.
Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
