Mother of Pearl Center
At the hear of this design is a round, bezel set white mother of pearl. The surface of the mother of pearl is nearly uniform in color, but it does exhibit a rippling, wave-like character that complements its soft, white shade nicely. This element is drawn out further by the contrast with the silvery shine of the metal it’s set in, a subtle but significant relationship that helps develop the character of the design. Metal Overlay and Diamond Accents
Strands of metal extend inward from almost every direction, crossing the surface of the mother of pearl as wave-like tendrils. These all vary in length and thickness, and some are pave set with small, round white diamonds. The diamonds bring a decidedly glamorous flair to the piece, and they also introduce another layer to the contrast relationship between the mother of pearl and the metal. All together, this piece includes 64 diamonds that combine to total 0.40 carats.
Customization Options

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
