Blue and White Diamonds
Diamonds are available in several different shades and hues. When they are not the usual colorless diamonds that clients are used to seeing, they are considered "fancy colored diamonds". The most common fancy colored diamonds are blue, pink, black, and yellow, although other colors can be found, as well. This client particularly loved the specific blue shade called "aqua", so we sourced 264 aqua blue diamond melee to be set in this round pendant.
Around the edge of the pendant is a single row of white diamonds completely framing the interior circle of blue diamonds. It acts as a barrier and creates a lovely look. All of the diamonds are pave set in the pendant. The style of pave setting is traditionally from France and was developed to use the least amount of metal possible in setting small gemstones. It literally paves the metal with diamonds. It takes an extremely experienced jeweler to successfully achieve this look, as every diamond has to be set by hand. Pendants
Customization Options
There are many ways to customize this piece. The first would be to incorporate different gemstones. It would be a lovely family piece, meaning that all the birthstones from your family would be included. They could be uniformly set, or scattered in a more abstract pattern.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
