Description
This exquisite necklace features an emerald cut aquamarine bezel set in the center, accented by halos of blue sapphires and white diamonds, and suspended from three strands of white pearls. It was created for a client from Bellevue, WA, and we worked with her both in person and online to ensure the piece we created was exactly what she’d been envisioning in every way. Aquamarine Center
In the center of the pendant, a 6.70 carat emerald cut bezel set aquamarine.. It’s also raised up a bit above to surface of the pendant to help enhance its primary position, as well as to accommodate its depth without making the body of the piece too bulky. The client specifically requested aquamarine for the center, as it held special significance for her.
Sapphire and Diamond Accents
Immediately surrounding the aquamarine is a halo of round blue sapphires that are channel set and follow the contours of the center stone exactly. The deep blue of the sapphires contrasts nicely with the delicate color of the aquamarine, helping to enhance the beauty of the larger stone.
Just outside the sapphire halo, a second halo follows the contours of the stone as well, and this is made up of small round bright cut set diamonds. These bring a glamorous flair to the design, and their brilliant sparkle is the perfect counterpoint to the two blues within. Pendants
Pearls
Three strands of 7mm pearls connect to the sides of this pendant, with the top strand attaching through a loop on the top angled surface on either side, and the two lower strands attaching to the flat side. The client sourced these herself, as she was very concerned with getting the right size and color to produce the look she was after.
Once she had found them, we strung them for her, and we attached them to the pendant to complete the piece. During the custom design process, she was unsure how many strands she’d ultimately like to use, and so we grew a wax model of the pendant so that she could see what it would look like with two and three strands of pearls in order to make a more informed decision.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
