Dolphin Design
The body of this pendant is in the outline of a dolphin, with its body curved to one side as if it had just leapt out of the water. It’s a simple outline with a few embellishments, including some intricate curves in the tail and a small circle for an eye. These touches give it a slightly whimsical quality and help it to stand out as unique despite the minimalist nature of the design.
Diamond Accents
Small round diamonds are bright cut set along parts of the middle of the dolphin outline, with a section running from the tip of the dorsal fin to the middle of the head, and another starting in the middle of the body and running up to the tip of a flipper. These bring wonderful sparkle to the piece, as well as an elegance that combines nicely with the lovely lines of the pendant overall. Pendants
Customization Options
Some ways to customize this piece include extending the diamonds to cover the entire top surface of the dolphin, and switching to a different type of gemstone such as a blue sapphire to replace the diamonds. Alternately, you could remove the accent diamonds all together and integrate only one to represent the dolphin’s eye. Or you could change the shape of the piece to that of an animal or symbol with special meaning to you while keeping other elements of the design intact.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
