Center Diamond and Halo
At the center of this piece is a 0.50 carat princess cut diamond. It’s cradled delicately in four chevron prongs, which both protect its corners and highlight its elegant shape. The diamond is rotated so that its corners occupy the compass positions, giving the entire piece a vaguely star-like quality that only intensifies the glamour of the design.
A halo of round bright cut set diamonds surrounds this dazzling center stone, and its perfectly square shape echoes that of the princess cut in the middle. The halo helps the larger diamond shine more brightly, as it sends more light back up onto the main stone, and it’s a classical touch that contrasts subtly with the bold, modern lines of the square pendant.
Pendant Design and Customization Options
The chain passes directly through an opening in the top of the basket that encloses the back of the pendant, which eliminates the need for a separate bale. This design detail allows the focus to remain entirely on the diamonds on the face of the pendant, while the basket behind provides protection to the back of the center stone.
As an extra elegant touch, the sides of the basket are partly formed from filigree in a softly-looping pattern. This type of detail can be customized to reflect a symbol of personal significance to you, provided there’s enough space to work with, and our team can help you explore the various options in that regard.
Other possibilities for customization include using a different metal such as rose or yellow gold to bring out classical themes even more, or using a colored sapphire or other gem in place of the large center diamond. Or you may want to experiment with different shapes for the center stone, as this would significantly impact the overall appearance of the piece as well.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
