Purple Sapphire Center and Diamond Halo
The centerpiece of this design is a 2.58 carat oval purple sapphire, and it’s held in place by four prongs. The rich purple of the stone contrasts wonderfully with the silvery shine of the metal, a relationship that helps to enhance the beauty of both elements.
The sapphire is surrounded by a halo of bright cut set white diamonds, which bring their own dazzling sparkle to the piece while simultaneously adding another layer to the contrast relationship within the design. The inner margin of the halo follows the contours of the sapphire closely, while the outer margin is scalloped to produce a more ornate and classically-inspired design. Pendants
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Above the halo, a larger accent diamond is bezel set and attaches directly to the marquise-shaped bale. The bale is formed by two strands that curve out from the top of the bezel setting before coming back in to meet at a point at the top.
The front surfaces of both of these strands are lined with split prong set diamonds, a detail which helps to create a connection to the diamonds in the lower portion of the piece while also adding a glamorous flair to the design. The bezel setting, as well as the halo surrounding the sapphire, are lined with milgrain beading, and this contributes to the vintage aesthetic of the piece while also giving it a nice, finished feel.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
