This elegant women’s wedding ring is made from unplated white gold, and it is contoured to fit around a matching engagement ring. It was created for a couple from College Park, MD, for whom we had previously made two matching engagement rings, which they were so happy with that they came back to us for matching wedding bands as well. Contoured Wedding Bands
This band is narrow and straight most of the way up, but it veers off dramatically on each side about a third of the way from the top, with the two sides eventually coming together in a point. This design is meant to allow the bands to sit next to the companion engagement rings, both of which feature angular stones in wrapped, low-profile settings. Design Your Own Wedding Ring
While these bands fit comfortably next to the engagement rings, they are not meant to sit flush up against them. That is a possibility, however, and so it’s something to think about when you’re beginning to design your wedding set. Even without lining up exactly against the engagement rings, however, they do complement them nicely, and the clean lines of the curve give the set a truly graceful air.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
