Description
This classic women’s wedding ring features round diamonds, bezel set in rose gold and lined with milgrain running across the top of the band. It was created for a couple from Mercer Island, WA, who came into our Bellevue showroom initially to get the custom design process underway. They commissioned a men’s wedding ring for us at the same time as well, and they also inquired about remaking the engagement ring they already had to match the wedding band.

Bezel Set Diamonds
There are 12 small round diamonds in this ring, and taken together, they total 0.48 carats. They were provided by the client, and we built the design around them so as to perfectly highlight their lovely proportions. The bezel setting used gives the band an undulating shape along the top, and the diamonds stop just past the half-way point on the shank.
As a finishing touch, each bezel setting is crowned with a ring of milgrain beading. This adds some lovely vintage flair to the design and highlights the sparkle of the diamonds. These stones also benefit from the contrast with the warm shade of the 14k rose gold that forms the body of the band, which makes their sparkle that much more pronounced and dazzling. Gemstone and Metal Options
If you were to customize this piece, one option is to use a different color metal. You could also eliminate the milgrain beading, as these clients considered doing. In fact, they asked to have the first model made without milgrain to see if they liked it, since it’s the type of detail that can always be added in later.
Another way to put a personal touch on a design like this is to incorporate a different type of gemstone in place of some or all of the diamonds. The stones used can be ones you already have, or we can source them for you. Sapphires in particular are a good substitute for diamonds in pieces like engagement rings and wedding bands that you’ll wear everyday. They also come in a wide variety of colors, so you’re sure to find just the right combination to best suit your personal style.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
