To begin the custom design process, you can reach out to us online, or you can visit our Bellevue, WA showroom in person. We’ll discuss your preferences with you, and we can also show you sample pieces or make suggestions to help you flesh out your ideas. Once we have a good idea what you’re looking for, we’ll develop a unique design for you in CAD, and you can request revisions to this as many times as possible until you’re completely satisfied with every detail. Diamonds and Milgrain
The 18 diamonds in this ring combine to total 0.13 carats. They’re all round and bright cut set in 18k yellow gold, and they continue in a line all the way around the band. Each diamond is held within its own section, which is either square or marquise shaped. All of these sections are lined with milgrain beading as well, bringing a decidedly vintage aesthetic to the design.
Band Design and Customization Options
The edge of the band follows the margins of the sections holding the diamonds, and these sections alternate with each other all the way around the ring. The square sections are rotated 45 degrees, and so their side corners meet the points of the marquise sections on either side. This arrangement gives the band a more delicate appearance overall, and it allows this ring to nestle comfortably on either side of the matching ring that completes the stackable set.
Customizing this ring may involve choosing a different metal, different type of gemstones, or different shapes for the sections holding the stones. You may also want to eliminate the milgrain or add some custom hand engraving for an extra personal touch. Women’s Wedding Rings

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
