French Cut Set Diamonds
There are 11 diamonds in this piece, and they combine to total exactly half a carat. They are all round and French cut set in a line across the top of the ring, stopping just above the mid-point on either side. The 14k white gold that they’re set in helps reinforce their brilliant sparkle, and the French cut setting is a small detail that adds to the simple elegance of the design. Women’s Wedding Rings
Particularly when the ring is viewed from the side, the details of the French cut setting are striking, creating almost a fan-like appearance between each pair of diamonds. On top, by contrast, very little metal is visible around the stones, and this helps keep their brilliant sparkle front and center as well.

The band itself is narrow and flat on top, with a polished finish on the fronts and on the lower portion of the top below where the diamonds stop. After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
