If you’re ready to begin the custom design process, or if you just want to know a little more about how it all works, you can reach out through our website or stop by our Bellevue, WA showroom in person. We’ll discuss your ideas with you, walk you through the process, and develop a unique design for you in CAD. You can modify these digital models as many times as necessary to make sure they’re perfect, and we won’t turn things over to our experts to begin production until we receive your explicit approval to do so.
Diamonds and Milgrain
There are 18 diamonds in this ring, of which nine are round and nine are princess cut. All of these stones are bezel set in 18k white gold, and all together, they total 1.06 carats. The diamonds are arranged in an alternating pattern, with one round followed by one princess cut, and so on. This continues all the way around the ring, which is what makes it an eternity band. Each bezel setting is also lined with milgrain beading for some added vintage flair. Women’s Custom Wedding Bands
Custom Hand Engraving
On both ring fronts, the flat sides of the bezel settings holding the princess cut stones are covered with wheat-style custom hand engraving. Milgrain runs around the edges of these engraved sections, providing some continuity from the top of the band and also adding definition to the engraved sections.
The hand engraving is one area that you may choose to customize, and our skilled artisans can recreate just about any design or style within the restrictions of the space available. This detail adds a lovely vintage quality to the ring as well, and the exquisite skill of our master engraver makes it possible for us to provide this type of incredible detail to all of our clients.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
