This elegant women’s wedding ring features shared prong set diamonds across the top of a polished platinum band. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who came into our Bellevue showroom to discuss the piece she wanted us to make.

After learning as much as we could about her style and feature preferences, we created a highly-detailed CAD model of the piece we proposed to create. She liked the outline and requested we grow a wax model so she could see a physical representation of the design before giving her final approval to send her piece to production. Shared Prong Set Diamonds
There are seven diamonds in this ring, which total 0.70 carats in weight when taken together. They are shared prong set across the top of the band, and this type of open setting allows them to take center stage in the design. The round shape of the diamonds dictates the contours of the top of the ring as well, and they’re slightly wider at their widest point than the band that begins at either side of the row.
Diamonds are a popular choice for both engagement rings and wedding bands, and they can often be used as accent stones in both pieces to create a link between the two. They introduce overtones of romantic love and unmatched beauty, and this, combined with their brilliant sparkle, makes them the perfect gem to mark such a significant milestone in your relationship.

Often at this stage, one of our artists will make a sketch to ensure sure we are on the same page before we proceed to the next step, which is to create a CAD model of your design.
Before moving on to production, we make sure we have your 100% satisfaction and we have captured your vision. You may also request to view a wax model of the piece, as this client did, or you can send the project straight to production if you are comfortable with the ring outlined in the CAD.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
