The customer who ordered this ring worked with our design team exclusively online, as he was deployed in Afghanistan throughout the process. And thanks to our skilled professionals and state-of-the-art 3D imaging technology, we were able to create exactly the rings he wanted to complete his perfect proposal.
Custom Engraving
The lovely detailing on this ring was completed by our skilled artisans, who carry out this type of hand engraving under a microscope in our Bellevue, WA location as the last step in the production process. This allows them to recreate just about any design or pattern you’d like, and it also ensured the exquisite level of detail you see in this ring.
Because this engraving is so precise and unique, we recommend that you have all rings in a set made at the same time so that the engraving is sure to match exactly. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
