Split Shank
This wedding ring is designed in a split shank style and features 23 diamonds on the outer rim. The band splits organically to bend and point out in a V-shape shank. The inner rim is designed in milgrain which contrasts with the diamonds on the outer shank.
Milgrain is a technique applied from long ago by jewelers, they use tiny beads of metal to decorate jewelry, often adding a vintage aesthetic. This technique was most popular in the Art Deco period. In this design, the use of milgrain elevates the overall look and adds an additional layer of detail to the band.
The round brilliant cut diamonds featured in this ring are sitting in proximity in a shared prong setting. This will allow for the stones to show and shine with less metal being used.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
