She had found a design on our website that she liked, and she had some ideas about how she wanted to customize it. We consulted with her both online and in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom throughout the custom design process to ensure we perfectly captured her vision for the piece, and she was very happy with the result.
Flush Set Gemstones
There are eight blue sapphires and 13 diamonds flush set in this ring, and they are all round, although they do vary in size. Our initial design had most of the larger diamonds loosely gathered at the top, but after some consideration, the client requested that we space them out more.
The blue sapphires are relatively evenly distributed around the top of the band, and all of the gemstones stop just past the half-way point. The client provided all of these gems, and we removed them from her existing ring and set them in this new one. Design Your Own Wedding Ring
Band Design
Our initial outlines had the band wider at the top where the gemstones were concentrated. However, the client requested that they be more spread out, and also that the band maintain the same width all the way around. We made these adjustments, and she approved of the modified design.
She also requested to see examples of what the piece would look like with both brushed and polished finishes so that she could decide which she liked better. After some consideration, she decided to go with the polished for a decidedly contemporary look.
