Half Eternity Design
The design of this ring, with channel set diamonds running along the top half of the shank, is generally referred to as a half eternity band. It is commonly used for wedding and anniversary rings due to the way it symbolizes enduring, never-ending love. It can also be easily altered to incorporate a full eternity design, with diamonds or other gemstones running all the way around the band.
Setting and Diamond Options
The diamonds in this ring are round brilliant cut, and this offers a nice contrast to the straight lines of the channel setting they’re held in. However, if you prefer diamonds that sit flush with each other in the channel, you may want to opt for the more squared princess cut.
Changing the shape of the diamonds used isn't the only way to customize this design either. For instance, you could switch to a shared prong setting, which showcases more of the stones and gives the piece overall a more classical feel. You could also substitute another type of gemstone for some or all of the diamonds in the ring to add another layer of meaning as well as some color.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
