18k Yellow Gold Custom Black Antiqued Engraved Wedding Band
Item #103282 $3,405Women's Wedding Ring Description
We had made the engagement ring for these clients first, and so they came back to us when it was time to have wedding bands made. They had a clear vision of the way they wanted to integrate the gear patterns into both of their pieces, and we worked back and forth with them online until every detail was perfect. Design Your Own Wedding Ring
Gear Pattern
The pattern of gears in this ring extends across the top of the band, and it’s cast directly into the metal. To make the design stand out more, we used black antiquing in the recessed areas, and this added just the right contrast to both highlight the pattern and complement it thematically. Women’s Custom Wedding Bands
The band is designed to fit inside of the jacket-style engagement ring, which features two narrow bands that run parallel to each other and frame the wedding band perfectly. This arrangement allows the gears to pass directly beneath the main diamond in the engagement ring as well, letting the two to blend seamlessly into one.
Matching Wedding Sets
Although the men’s band in this set is not identical to the women’s, the use of the gear pattern on both pieces creates a solid connection between the two. The client also requested that we add parallel grooves that run all the way around his band to reference the two rings that make up the women’s set, adding yet another subtle connection with deep personal meaning for the clients.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
