This lovely women’s wedding ring features small round diamonds and blue sapphires bright cut set in an alternating pattern that continues all the way around the band. It was created as part of a custom wedding set for a couple from Tacoma, WA, and we made a matching engagement ring along with a men’s wedding band for them at the same time. The clients initially requested a quote through our website, and we exchanged messages with them online to clarify several details of their request. They also visited our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to discuss the project, as well as to pick out the center sapphire that would be used in the engagement ring.
Diamonds and Sapphires
There are 22 diamonds in this ring, and they’re bright cut set in palladium white gold in an alternating pattern along with 22 round blue sapphires. The client chose a sapphire center for the companion engagement ring that completes this set, as it was her fiancee’s birthstone and she liked the idea of keeping it with her at all times. For this same reason, she wanted to include sapphires in the wedding band in case she wanted to wear the band on its own at some point. Sapphire and Diamond Engagement Rings
Because the diamonds and sapphires continue all the way around the ring, it’s considered an eternity band. This type of design is popular for wedding and anniversary bands, as it carries with it the added symbolism of an unbroken bond and unending love. Matching Wedding Sets
The client had both her engagement ring and wedding band designed and made together, and that allowed us to match the colors of the gemstones in both exactly. It also ensured that the two rings would sit flush with each other when worn together, and this is an important element to keep in mind as you begin designing your own set. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
