Custom Diamond Jacket Wedding Band
Item #102951 $4,892Women's Wedding Ring Description
Jacket-style Design
This style of wedding ring is commonly referred to as a jacket due to the way it wraps around the engagement ring it was made to match. The two symmetrical bands frame the engagement ring perfectly, and they’re connected by two small bars near the bottom to help keep everything aligned properly.
The client chose this kind of piece because she didn’t like the idea of having a wedding band on only one side of her engagement ring, creating an asymmetrical design. She found several examples of the starburst arrangement of gemstones, which she shared with us online, and we generated CAD models based on these inspiration pieces that she loved immediately. Diamond Accents
There are 18 diamonds in this ring, and they’re all baguette cut diamonds of varying sizes. They’re also all prong set and oriented so that they appear to radiate out from the center setting of the engagement ring. We presented models to the client with baguettes that generally ended in the same place, as well as one with differing lengths, and she decided she liked the more staggered look seen here.
Matching Features
In addition to being contoured to fit perfectly around the engagement ring, this piece also has several features integrated to match it. These include the pattern and placement of the custom hand engraving that covers the fronts of the shank, as well as the milgrain beading that frames the diamonds and engraving in the engagement ring, all of which helps to further unite the set and add some vintage flair to the design.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
