Diamonds and Sapphires
There are nine diamonds in this ring, combining to total 0.44 carats. Each diamond is round and bezel set in 18k yellow gold, and this produces a striking presentation, as the warm tones of the metal and the brilliant sparkle of the diamonds contrast wonderfully.
Nine princess cut orange sapphires are also included in this piece, and they’re bezel set in yellow gold as well. These stones combine to total 0.88 carats, although they’re approximately the same width as the diamonds despite their significantly greater carat weight. Women’s Custom Wedding Bands
The diamonds and sapphires are arranged in an alternating pattern that continues all the way around the ring, and the edges of their bezel settings describe the margins of the band itself as well. That dynamic helps to highlight the contrasting shapes of the two types of stones, a detail that reinforces their color contrast as well.
Milgrain and Hand Engraving
The bezel settings holding the diamonds and sapphires are all lined with milgrain beading, and this detail, combined with the choice of yellow gold for the metal, helps bring a decidedly vintage feel to the design. On the sides of the sapphire settings, wheat-style hand engraving adds an extra vintage touch. A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
