Pink Sapphire
While diamonds are often thought of first as the traditional engagement ring gemstone, sapphires have a long and storied history in this role as well. The stone has come to signify a pledge of trust and loyalty, and the choice of a pink sapphire in particular in this ring adds some romantic undertones as well. The round cut of the sapphire works nicely with the rest of the ring’s design, and it is held securely in place in a four prong setting surrounded by a double halo of diamonds.
Halo Setting
The diamond halo is made up of two slightly squared tiers, and these are laid out in a staggered pattern, rather than nested one inside the other as is often the case. The resulting design adds a layer of delicate complexity to the piece, and the diamonds themselves are bright cut set in rose gold. In addition to providing their own sparkle, the diamonds also highlight the lovely color of the center stone.
Two-tone Shank
The cathedral shank of this ring is made using a combination of 14k white gold and 14k rose gold. The white gold makes up the majority of the ring itself, while the rose gold takes over only close the the center setting. The color of the rose gold also highlights the ring’s pink sapphire center, and the shoulders of the shank are pave set with a single row of diamonds to round out the piece.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
