Description

This elegant engagement ring features a Star 129 diamond prong set in the center of a shared prong set diamond halo atop a platinum band. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who worked with our team onsite in our Bellevue, WA showroom to finalize the details of the piece.

Whether you live locally, as this client did, or you’re thousands of miles away, our experts can help you design the perfect ring for any occasion. We use the latest 3D imaging software to share our designs with you through the private workrooms we create for each custom project, and you can request as many revisions as necessary to these outlines until you’re sure we’ve perfectly captured your vision. Star 129 Diamond Center

The center stone in this piece is a 1.01 carat round diamond featuring the Star 129 cut. This is what allows it to display such brilliant fire, as this type of cut creates 129 precisely-placed facets to reflect light back out. That is compared to an average of 58 facets on a normal round brilliant cut stone, and 76 facets on a princess cut. Diamond Engagement Rings

Diamond Halo

Further intensifying the sparkle of this piece, eight round brilliant cut diamonds, which together total 1.06 carats, are arranged around the center diamond in a shared prong set halo. This grouping gives the entire center setting the appearance of a sparkling flower, and it brings subtle classical overtones to the piece as well.

Metal, Setting, and Gemstone Options

If you’re interested in customizing this piece, you’ll have many options to consider. For instance, switching to a rose or yellow gold for the setting and band could bring some vintage flair to the piece while adding a beautiful contrast. And substituting pink diamonds or sapphires for the stones in the halo would introduce romantic overtones while also reinforcing the floral themes already present.

Even if you don’t have the vocabulary to describe the piece you’re envisioning, we can help guide you through the custom design process, showing you as many examples and outlines of our original design as necessary until you’re sure we’ve designed a ring that perfectly captures the look you’re after.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
