Description

This lovely engagement ring features a round brilliant cut center diamond, accented on each side by three green peridots, all set in platinum. It was created in collaboration with a client from Diamond Bar, CA, who worked closely with our team online to finalize the details of the piece. Although he couldn’t visit us in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom, the skills of our team and the high-tech tools we have at our disposal ensured he was completely happy with the end result of the custom design process.

Center Setting

The main stone in this ring is a 1.03 carat round brilliant cut diamond, and it’s prong set in platinum for a truly classic look. The openness of the setting allows the diamond to shine through from all sides, and it also holds the diamond up a comfortable distance from the band while still keeping it protected. Accent Stones

Three round peridots are prong set on each of the shank shoulders just adjacent to the center stone. These rise up slightly from the band as well, helping to ease the transition from the large diamond down to the ring itself. The peridots are also grouped in a particular way, with two smaller ones side by side closer to the main setting and a larger one below.

The arrangement of the peridots was a significant element of the piece for the client. This was something that held special meaning for his fiancee-to-be.

There are also round bright cut set diamonds on the fronts of the ring running from the half-way point up to near the center setting. And a round bezel set diamond sits just below the center diamond on each of the ring fronts as well. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Quality

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Structure and support
The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
Diamond and gemstone selection
We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
Final inspection
Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
