Description
This piece was created by a military client, who was able to oversee the production of his engagement ring while stationed overseas. Through the use of our online jewelry design system, he was able to collaborate with our design team from the design to the creation process without ever visiting our store.

The client started out using Joseph Jewelry item #100794 as a model for his custom project, then had us alter it to be unique to his fiancée’s style. To this end, he had us discard the original two-tone appearance in favor of crafting the entire piece out of white gold. On the inside of the ring, he had us engrave a special message: “Forever yours”.
He also wanted to change the popular round cut gem that made up the center of this model. Our design team worked closely with him to choose just the right gemstone for his ring, uploading pictures of different kinds of stones to his Joseph Jewelry collaboration blog until he decided upon a strong, square blue sapphire. Once he was satisfied, we built the ring to his specifications and shipped it off to his APO address.

Customize
Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.
Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

- Inspection every six monthsOur jewelers inspect your piece and provide ongoing care for the custom jewelry we make for you.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
