After several rounds of revisions, they felt confident we’d found the right combination of features, and to be completely sure, they came into our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to view a wax model before giving approval to move the ring into production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Setting
A 1.30 carat round brilliant cut diamond sits atop this ring, and it’s cradled beautifully in a modified four prong setting that features squared prongs with rounded beads at the end. This detail is a big part of what gives the ring its distinctive vintage flair, and it also helps the setting blend in with the diamond, making it appear to be a more squared than rounded shape. The shape of the prongs and the angles of the other elements of the setting were something the clients were very particular about capturing perfectly, and so we modified our designs several times to achieve the look they were after.
Diamond and Filigree Accents
On either side of the main setting, a row of four small round diamonds is bright cut set within a rectangular metal frame. This reinforces the squared elements of the main setting, and it also helps transition to the more angular accents below. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
These include two bezel set baguette diamonds on each side, which are set lengthwise and at an angle so that they create a small space between them. This space is partially filled by a marquise shaped metal frame holding a single round bright cut set diamond, and this detail perfectly manages the transition to the narrow band below. A small space remains between the baguettes as well, which is just what the clients were hoping for.
On the fronts of the ring, a swirling scroll filigree fills the space directly below the main setting. This serves as the perfect way to reconcile the interplay of angular and curved elements present in the design overall, as it actually forms from an extension of the squared prongs as they descend down from the main stone.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
