Diamond Engagement Ring

Center Setting
At the top of this ring, a 0.90 carat round brilliant cut diamond is held in place by 18k white gold talon prongs. These prongs curl up over the girdle of the stone, coming to a point as they do so, and this gives the setting a more delicate feel while also adding a subtle contrast with the perfectly round shape of the stone. The prongs are lined with milgrain beading, which frames the bright cut set diamonds that run down them as well. These details bring an intricacy to the design, along with a hint of classical flair in this otherwise contemporary-style piece.
Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band is narrowest and one piece a the bottom, and it gradually widens moving up each side. Split prong set diamond accents begin about one quarter of the way up towards the top, arranged in two parallel lines that slowly move away from each other as the band widens. Engagement Rings Seattle
The small strip of metal between these rows also widens along with the band, and it rises up a bit above the level of the diamonds as it nears the top, eventually meeting the side of the center setting. The rows of diamonds, by contrast, intersect with the main setting lower down, close to the spot where each prong originates.
This arrangement gives the look of a split shank, but gives it a modern twist. It’s a sophisticated and elegant design that can be paired with a variety of wedding bands, and the materials used to make all Sylvie pieces are ethically sourced.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
