Diamond Solitaire
The lone gemstone in this ring is a one carat round brilliant cut diamond. It’s cradled in a four prong setting that meets the stone at the compass positions, and this allows the center setting to flow smoothly from the wrapped shank below. Diamond Engagement Rings
The solitaire style has long been a traditional choice for an engagement ring, and there are many ways you can work in different types of features to make it better reflect your personal style. This ring is an excellent example of that, with several contemporary touches combining to give this classical style a more modern feel.
Band Design and Contrasting Finishes
The band itself is rounded and straight most of the way around, and it splits into two strands on each side quite close to the top. The two strands loop around the center setting, with one passing above the strands from the opposite side and one passing below. This creates a lovely, intertwined halo effect surrounding the center diamond, and it brings an elegant flow to the piece as well. Halo Engagement Rings
Each side of the ring also features a different type of finish, with one side polished and the other sandblasted. The contrast helps clarify the beautiful movement around the center setting, as it makes clear exactly how the strands are moving in relation to each other. When viewed from the top down, the top and right part of the halo has the matte sandblasted finish, while the bottom and left is polished, highlighting the twisting, wrapped design.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
