Center Setting

The central diamond in this ring is one carat and princess cut. It’s held in a four prong setting that rises dramatically up from the cathedral shank below. It holds the diamond high above the band, ensuring that it maintains its position as the main focus of the design.

Although round diamonds are the most popular choice for the center stone in engagement rings, princess cuts are quite popular as well. Their perfectly square shape makes for a truly stunning display, and they bring along plenty of classical flair as well. Diamond Engagement Rings

Diamond Accents

Six smaller princess cut diamonds are channel set down each shank shoulder, and these perfectly echo the lines of the larger diamond at the top while also adding their own glamorous sparkle to the piece. The use of a channel setting lets the stones sit flush, both with the sides of the channel and with each other, producing the appearance of an unbroken diamond surface.

Customization Options

If you’re interested in customizing this piece, our team can help you find just the right mix of features to achieve the look you’re after. To begin, you may want to think about introducing some colored gemstones in place of some or all of the accent diamonds on the shank shoulders. Pink or blue sapphires are popular choices, and sapphires can be found in many other shades as well. One of a Kind Engagement Rings

You might also think about using a different color metal to add contrast and warmth to the piece. Yellow gold, for example, would accomplish this, and it would also reinforce the classical themes already present in the design.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
