The client who ordered this piece was a Washington man seeking a ring for the love of his life, inspired by two Joseph Jewelry engagement ring designs. The challenge here was to do a lot with a minimum of space, filling up a slender ring with glamour. To achieve this, we started with a simple platinum band, chosen for the strength and durability that would be so important to the ring. The band is topped with a platinum, four-prong setting that is encircled with a halo of diamonds that make the center stone appear larger. Similar settings run down either side of the shank, such that most of the exposed surface is covered in jewels. Diamond Engagement Rings
Beneath the setting of the main gem is a petal-shaped filigree crafted from rose gold, each petal set with a pair of tiny diamonds. This gives the ring a subtle splash of color that sneaks up on the observer when viewed from the right angle.
For the main gemstone, we selected a high quality, oval brilliant cut diamond. The majestic, colorless quality of the stone is complemented well by the white of the platinum, and the facets alternatively catch the gentle color of the rose gold beneath it to create a sparkle that is fascinating to observe. The overall effect is classically simple, but full of surprises.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
