After this initial visit, she reached out to us online and shared two inspiration pieces that she wanted to combine. We created a CAD model of what that ring would look like, and she collaborated with our designers to modify the model until it was exactly what she was looking for.
Diamond Center and Accents
At the center of this ring is a 1 carat round brilliant cut diamond that the client provided. It sits in a four prong setting, with the prongs meeting the stone at an orientation offset from the line of the band. This placement works well with the twists of the interlocking band design to give the ring a nice balance and tie everything together.
The outer band, which is the one that wraps around to form the top and bottom prongs in the center setting, is also lined with bright cut set diamonds down to the mid-point. These help highlight the graceful movement of the two bands across each other, and they also add some glamorous flair to the design itself.
Interlocking Bands
The thickness of the band and the way they intersect was something that the client was very concerned with getting exactly right. Because this piece actually functions as both engagement ring and wedding band, the two rings are separate but built to interlock. The inner piece is the wedding ring, and it rests in a notch in the bottom of the engagement ring that positions it to come up on opposite sides of the center setting. Matching Wedding Sets
Both rings curve close to the top, and this allows them to cross over each other as they approach the main setting. At this point, the outer band twists up and around to form the prongs holding the center diamond, and the inner band twists back across to connect to its opposite end directly below the main setting.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
