This lovely engagement ring features a round yellow sapphire prong set in rose gold, with pear-shaped pink sapphires on the sides, and bright cut set diamond accents on the wrapped shank. Three-stone Setting
At the center of this ring is a round 1.27 carat yellow sapphire, and it glows even more brightly thanks to the warmth of the 14k rose gold it’s set in. On either side of this center, a pear-shaped pink sapphire is also prong set, and this creates a beautiful combination of colors at the heart of the design.
The clients were very particular about the colors they wanted to include in their ring. To make sure they were completely happy with the finished product, we brought in some options for them to choose from for both the center and side stones. They loved the sapphires we found, and after seeing these, they quickly approved the project to move into production. Sapphire Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents and Band Design
Small round diamond accents are bright cut set on the shoulders of the wrapped shank, and these taper in size as they move away from the center. They add just the right amount of sparkle and another layer of contrast to the piece, and the bright cut style of the setting intensifies the vintage overtones of the design. If you’re interested in customizing this piece, choosing the type and color of the gemstones in the center setting might be a good place to start. These clients chose what they did in order to include elements of personal significance to them, and you can do the same.
You may also want to add milgrain beading around the diamond accents, or to include some custom hand engraving on the remainder of the shank. This would add even more to the vintage elements of the design, and it would allow you to incorporate even more personal details as well.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
