Center Setting
The largest diamond in this ring is a round brilliant cut stone, and it’s cradled securely by four prongs made of 18k white gold. The prongs rise up from a single point directly below the center diamond, and they gently curve outward on their way to the top. They meet the diamond at its girdle, extending slightly beyond that point without wrapping around the stone. Diamond Engagement Rings
This arrangement creates an effect that helps to emphasize the placement of the diamond and allows it to stand out. A gallery rail runs between the prongs lower down, just above the level of the top of the band, and this provides structural stability while also leaving the center setting as open as possible on all sides to allow plenty of light to reach the diamond.
Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band is slightly domed on top, and it tapers just a bit towards both the top and bottom of the ring. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
