Description

This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond in a wrapped setting that arises naturally from the graceful curvature of the tapered platinum band below. It was created as a custom piece for a client as part of a complete wedding set that also included this wedding band. We can help you adjust the details to put your own personal mark on it, and we can discuss your ideas in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom or via direct messaging through our website. Center Setting

At the top of this ring, a one carat round brilliant cut diamond is cradled in a wrapped setting that continues almost all the way around the stone. An extension of the band from one side curves up and over the top of the stone, while an extension from the other side wraps around the bottom. These two strands never quite meet, but their elegant movement highlights the beautiful curves of the diamond while also offering a smooth continuation of the graceful lines of the band itself.

Interlocking Band Design

The band is platinum and widest at the bottom, with a softly rounded top surface. It gradually tapers moving up the sides, and the rate of taper is increased the closer it gets to the main setting. The very bottom of the band features a groove that cuts diagonally across its inside surface, and this is where the wedding band nests, as it sits inside the engagement ring and crosses over from one side to the other. Custom Wedding Sets

Whether you want a similar style for your own wedding set, or you think you’d like to go in a somewhat different direction, it’s important to think about your whole set as you go through the custom design process, even if you’re only ready to make the engagement ring at this point. Finding ways to integrate connections into your set, whether physical, symbolic or both, can open up all kinds of possibilities for adding unique features to your piece, as well as helping to create a stunning look for the set as a whole.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Quality

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Structure and support
The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
Diamond and gemstone selection
We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
Final inspection
Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Lifetime warranty and care

  • Lifetime warrantyYour custom piece is covered against manufacturing defects.
  • Inspection every six monthsOur jewelers inspect your piece and provide ongoing care for the custom jewelry we make for you.

Coverage conditions

For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.

Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
