Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond tension set in a wrapped white gold shank with a band of accent diamonds running below. We created this piece for a client from La Porte, Texas, who fell in love with our original design #1169 but wanted to adjust it a bit to make it more her own. We worked with both her and her fiancee-to-be online to find just the right combination of changes to make to ensure the ring we made for her was exactly what she wanted in every way.

Center Setting
The diamond at the center of this ring is a 0.51 carat round brilliant cut, and the wrapped tension setting holding it in place displays it beautifully. The way the two ends of the wrapped shank curve around the diamond emphasize its perfectly round contours, and they give the piece as a whole a nice fluid quality. Diamond Engagement Rings
Accent Band
Crossing below this center setting is a band of accent diamonds that runs from the midway point of one shank shoulder to the same point on the other. The diamonds here are shared prong set, which is one of the modifications the client decided to make to our original design.
She liked the way this type of setting allows more of the diamonds to show through, as opposed to the channel setting in the ring she used as her inspiration piece. Including this type of setting also eliminated the milgrain beading that framed the channel set diamonds, and these two adjustments helped give the ring a much more contemporary feel as opposed to the vintage style of the original.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
