This stunning engagement ring features a pear shaped diamond prong set in the center of a contoured halo of split prong set diamonds, accented with additional split prong set diamonds on the narrow rose gold shank. It was created for a client from Akron, OH, who used the Ring Builder feature on our website to select the combination of gemstones and features he wanted for his custom piece. After reviewing his choices with him and clarifying a few details, we put together a set of CAD proofs that we then posted in the online workroom we set up to manage his project. He was very happy with the design we came up with, and so quickly gave his approval to move the ring into production.
Center and Halo
The diamond at the top of this ring is pear shaped, and it’s held in place by three rose gold prongs. Two of these are rounded, and the third is a chevron prong that cradles and protects the tip of the stone. This diamond is oriented so that the point is inline with the finger when worn, and the asymmetry of the center gives it a bit of whimsical flair. Diamond Engagement Rings
A contoured halo of round split prong set diamonds surrounds this center stone, adding some classical overtones along with plenty of sparkle. The diamonds in the halo also send more light up onto the center from below, and that only helps the larger stone shine more brightly. The contoured nature of the halo, in turn, highlights the beautiful lines of the pear shaped cut. Rose Gold Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents
Split prong set diamonds line both shank shoulders to just beyond the mid-point on each side. These enhance the delicate look of the narrow band, and they create a direct connection between the band and the large center setting above. The use of the split prong setting for both the diamonds on the band and those in the halo ties in with the vintage themes of the ring overall, and the use of 14k rose gold brings a lovely contrast and warmth to the design.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
