After reviewing his choices with him and clarifying a few details, we put together a set of CAD proofs that we then posted in the online workroom we set up to manage his project. He was very happy with the design we came up with, and so quickly gave his approval to move the ring into production.
Center and Halo
The diamond at the top of this ring is pear shaped, and it’s held in place by three rose gold prongs. Two of these are rounded, and the third is a chevron prong that cradles and protects the tip of the stone. This diamond is oriented so that the point is inline with the finger when worn, and the asymmetry of the center gives it a bit of whimsical flair. Diamond Engagement Rings
A contoured halo of round split prong set diamonds surrounds this center stone, adding some classical overtones along with plenty of sparkle. The diamonds in the halo also send more light up onto the center from below, and that only helps the larger stone shine more brightly. Diamond Accents
Split prong set diamonds line both shank shoulders to just beyond the mid-point on each side. These enhance the delicate look of the narrow band, and they create a direct connection between the band and the large center setting above. The use of the split prong setting for both the diamonds on the band and those in the halo ties in with the vintage themes of the ring overall, and the use of 14k rose gold brings a lovely contrast and warmth to the design.
