Center Setting

At the top of this ring, a one carat round brilliant cut diamond is cradled by four 14k white gold prongs. These rise dramatically up from the top of the band below, and they angle outward to follow the lines of the diamond, helping to highlight its perfect proportions.

Using a different shape of diamond or even a different type of gemstone entirely is one way to put your personal mark on this piece, and our experts can show you different options to help you get a feel of the type of look each would create. Diamond Engagement Rings

Diamond Accents

There are 30 accent diamonds in this ring, and they’re all split prong set in lines running down the shank shoulders. These add a glamorous sparkle to the design, and the split prong setting brings a delicate elegance to the piece as well.

Adjusting the setting style of these accent stones is a quick way to change the overall aesthetic of the ring, as using a bright cut setting would give the ring more of a classical feel. Or if you wanted to move the design in a more contemporary direction, you could switch to a channel setting for the accent diamonds, and you may even want to use princess cut in that case rather than round. Matching Wedding Sets

Another element to consider when you're beginning the process of custom designing an engagement ring is the type of wedding band you’d ultimately like to have go with it. For instance, not all engagement rings can accommodate a straight wedding band sitting flush against it, and so you’ll have to either modify the engagement ring or decide if you like the idea of a contoured wedding band instead.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Diamond and gemstone selection
We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
