Description
This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set in the middle of a halo of French cut set diamonds, all atop a tapered white gold shank. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who worked closely with our team online to iron out the details of his ideal ring. He had an inspiration piece that he shared with us during his initial visit to our Bellevue, WA showroom, and using that, we developed this unique design for him. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Center Diamond and Halo
At the center of this ring is a 0.61 carat round brilliant cut diamond, and it’s cradled in four white gold prongs. These rise up from underneath the surrounding halo, emerging from a criss cross of two strands that split off the main shank below the shoulders. The graceful lines of these strands helps enhance the classical elegance of the design, and it gives the ring a clean, balanced look.
Surrounding the center diamond is a halo of French cut set diamond accents. There are 24 diamonds in this halo, and they’re arranged in a perfect circle around the larger stone, helping emphasize its perfect shape and dimensions. At one point during the production process, the client was concerned that the halo would be too wide, and so we showed him what a split prong set halo would look like. But after viewing the two alternatives side by side he decided to stick with the French cut set. Halo Engagement Rings
Band Design
The band of this piece is quite thin, finishing at about 1.3mm across at its widest point and tapering as it nears the top. Because his girlfriend had very small fingers, the client wanted to make sure the band was as thin as possible. However, when he saw it, he was concerned that it may be a bit too thin. After talking it over with our team, he realized that the proportions between the halo and band were perfect, and that it would appear wider once a wedding band was added in.
