Description
The story behind this custom engagement ring goes back to Joseph Jewelry’s own antique cushion morganite and diamond halo earrings (item #100455). A client was so captivated by the aesthetic of these earrings that she wanted to create an engagement ring to go with them. We therefore took the same variety of morganite, accent diamonds, and rose gold to give her a matching jewelry set that she could treasure for years to come.

The morganite is a gem from the beryl family, which also includes the emerald and the aquamarine. Its delicate pink coloration makes it a popular choice for women’s jewelry. A large, broad-face morganite, like the 2.13 carat cushion cut you see here, is a great way to fully appreciate the pristine clarity that the stone is known for. We mounted the stone in a four prong setting and encircled it in a halo on a fourteen karat rose gold shank. Forty-two diamonds line the halo and continue partway down either side of the shank to lend an extra sparkle to the final product.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
