18k White Gold Custom Princess Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

Center Setting
The main diamond in this ring is a 1.21 carat princess cut stone, and the rich glow of the 14k rose gold it’s set in provides a lovely contrast to the diamond’s stunning fire. The four prong setting lifts the stone up above the cathedral shank, cementing its central place in the design while still providing enough protection from the rigors of daily wear. Split Cathedral Shank
The shank itself begins as one piece, but even at the bottom, lines showing where the ultimate divisions will appear are present. The single piece of rose gold widens as it comes up the sides, and the full split occurs just past the mid-point on each side. From here, the two outer sections curve out slightly so that they can run uninterrupted along the sides of the center setting.
The middle piece then narrows a bit as it continues up to the top, joining the side of the main setting somewhat higher up than the two rails. The center setting itself rises up from a fourth section of the band, which splits off the cathedral shoulder from below about a quarter of the way down and runs directly below the center diamond parallel to the rails. Diamond and Milgrain Accents
All three sections of the split shank include round bright cut set diamond accents lined with milgrain, and these begin just below the main split at the mid-point on the band. The use of this type of setting and detailing brings a bit of classical flair to an otherwise contemporary design, and the round accent diamonds complement the squared center stone nicely.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
