Our artists created an initial sketch of an original piece based on the client’s selections, which he was very happy with. We then moved on to the CAD portion of the custom design process, and after requesting a few small revisions, the client gave his approval to move into production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Three-stone Setting
At the center of this ring is a 0.48 round brilliant cut diamond. It’s prong set in palladium, and smaller round diamonds are prong set on either side of it to complete the three-stone setting. The two smaller diamonds total 0.49 carats together, bringing the total carat weight of the ring to nearly one. Three Stone Engagement Rings
Custom Filigree and Band Design
The three diamonds in this ring sit within a space created by the wrapped ends of the split shank as they intertwine with the base of the main setting. Our original models had the diamonds sitting up a bit higher above the band, but the client requested that we lower them as much as possible while still maintaining the prong setting.
Just next to the side diamonds, a hand-made scroll filigree fills the remainder of the area between the strands of the shank, eventually tapering down to a point where the two pieces come together. The smooth lines of the wrapped shank are reflected in the shape of the filigree, and this brings a lovely fluidity to the ring.
Hand Engraving
The fronts of this ring are covered with flowing hand-engraved scroll pattern that complements the filigree and runs down to the three-quarter point on the band. This continues up even to the fronts of the main setting, and it helps intensify the vintage themes already present while adding a classical elegance to the design. Vintage Engagement Rings Bellevue
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
