Description
This elegant engagement ring features a pear shaped aquamarine prong set in white gold with diamond and hand-engraved accents on the tapered shank. It was created for a client from Abiquiu, NM, who reached out to us online to share his vision for what he wanted to make for his fiancee-to-be. Aquamarine Center
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.99 carat pear shaped aquamarine. It is cradled in five white gold prongs, and the way the lower three are clustered around the point of the stone really helps to show off its lovely proportions. The delicate blue color of the aquamarine contrasts beautifully with the silvery shine of the white gold, as well as with the accent diamonds on either side.
Using a type of colored gemstone in your ring is a wonderful way to work in eye color, a birthstone, or some other significant and personal feature. In addition to aquamarine, there are many different colors of sapphire that can be used to fill this role, and you can even choose to go with pink or brown diamonds for a special twist on the traditional. Accent Diamonds
A single round diamond is prong set on each side of the center aquamarine, adding just the right amount of sparkle to the ring. Diamonds are the most traditional choice for gemstones in engagement rings, and even if you don’t want to use one for the center, it can be a nice touch to work some in as accents like this.
Custom Hand Engraving
A beautiful floral-themed scroll pattern covers the fronts of the ring, extending all the way down to the three-quarter point on the band. This engraving is lined with milgrain beading, which frames it beautifully and adds some vintage flair to the design. The pattern of the engraving also ties in nicely with the swirls below the main setting to help unite these two sections of the piece.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
