Custom Blue Sapphire And Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #102783 $8,308 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
After our team discussed options with them onsite, we came up with a unique design that we then shared via the online workroom we created for the project. In fact, we gave them two variations in the initial design phase of the project, and they chose the one they liked best. They also requested a couple of slight adjustments to the CAD models we created, and they did come in to view a wax mold of the piece to make sure everything was just the way they wanted it before we cast the ring in metal.
Center Sapphire
The lovely blue sapphire at the center of this ring is radiant cut and 2.71 carats. It sits in a four prong setting made of 18k white gold, and its angular shape works nicely with the other elements of the ring design. Our clients wanted to make sure they got the perfect sapphire for this piece, and so we brought in several beautiful stones for them to choose from, with this being the one that captured their hearts.
Diamond and MIlgrain Accents
Just next to and slightly below the main sapphire, bullet shaped diamonds are bezel set, one on each side, with their wider ends up against the main setting. These are lined with bright cut set diamonds, which come to a point before joining the main part of the band. And helping to unify these two sections of the ring further, four round bright cut set diamonds run down the side of the main shank as well, ending right at the mid-point on the band.
All of these accent diamonds are lined with milgrain beading, which helps to cement the vintage style of the ring. For a bit of peek-a-boo sparkle, a princess cut diamond lined with milgrain is bezel set on each of the ring fronts just below the center setting.
Custom Wedding Sets
After we made this ring, the clients were so happy that they came back to us for both his and her’s wedding bands. We made contoured wedding ring #102784 to sit flush up against this piece, and to ensure the two rings were a perfect match, we borrowed the engagement ring during the production of the wedding band so that we could line them up perfectly. Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
