Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant cut light brown diamond in a wrapped platinum shank with diamond and milgrain accents, as well as custom hand engraving. It was developed for a client from South Burlington, VT, who found our engagement ring design #100645 online and wanted to customize it a bit to make it better suit her tastes.

Because she lives on the other side of the country, the client was never able to visit our Bellevue, WA showroom in person. However, thanks to the technological tools we have at our disposal for creating and sharing 3D images of our designs, we could coordinate closely with her to ensure that we got all details of her piece exactly as she wanted them.
Center Diamond
The stone at the center of this ring is a 0.91 carat round brilliant cut brown diamond with a shimmering champagne color that contrasts perfectly with the brilliant white of the platinum band. Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Round white diamonds are bright cut set along both sides of the wrapped shank from the spot where it splits all the way up to the end that curves around the center stone. These add their own sparkle to the piece, and they provide an additional point of contrast with the delicate brown of the center stone.
Milgrain beading lines these diamonds, and it also runs along the remaining edges of the shank, helping to tie the various features together. The milgrain, coupled with the choice of bright cut settings for the accent diamonds and the hand engraving that covers most of the shank, all work together to give the ring a distinctive vintage flair.
Hand Engraving
The engraving that runs along the fronts and top of this ring features a beautiful swirling pattern that really works well with the overall movement of the piece and the twisting nature of the center setting. While there was some hand-made filigree on the original inspiration piece the client found, one of the main changes she made to that design was to remove a section of filigree and fill it with solid engraved metal.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
